OMG, J.Crew Weddings Is More Lovely Than Before!

I can hardly stand how lovely and amazing J.Crew Weddings & Parties section is. I mean, I get it, they’re retail, but COME ON. I could go back to this page over and over again, there’s inspiration all around this section.

Look at this awesome inspiration board on their landing page…

Le Sigh!

How The Heck am I Supposed To Lose Weight?!

How am I supposed to lose weight when:
1. I love wine… I typically have a glass (or a few each night)
2. I eat donuts and breakfast junkfood at work? Seriously, there’s a Pizza Luce around the corner, and we have breakfast treats each Friday and Monday!

I’m trying so hard, cutting back, etc, but with grad school, the remodel and wedding planning, it’s REALLY hard to squeeze workouts in too…

Sigh.

Any suggestions that might actually work!?

Get Married All Year

Oh Martha Stewart. That woman is a money-making machine! Aside from her lines at KMart, Michael’s and various department stores, she’s got her magazine empire (don’t get me started, I am P-SSED that they cancelled Blueprint and tried to replace it with some crappy magazine my mom gets).

Anyway — did you know that you can subcribe to her wedding magazine?! For $16 they’ll send all four of their yearly wedding issues. Part of me is disgusted, part of me (the DIY side) is scrambling through my purse with my left hand as I hunt-and-peck with my right.

Oh Martha, you marketing genius.

Epiphany

I’ve been looking over our stats on this site for quite awhile and have been baffled as to why the BTB keeps whooping my butt in terms of views.  I mean, not just beating me… wiping the floor with my butt.

Sure, I don’t post as often as she does and sure, I don’t post the reviews like she does.  I don’t get the keywords like she does (hey, I work in software, she works for an internet company).

Needless to say, I was feeling inadequate… again.  Loving someone smarter than you sucks.  Big time.

Then it dawned on me, women care about all things wedding way more than guys do.  Women research, they plan, they even, dare I say, DREAM about the big day.  Guys just want the damn thing over with so they can get back to the game.

That said, I’m not quitting on this thing.  I’m not about to throw in the white towel.  If nothing else, I hope the chicks who come here to learn about which dress shop is the best or which bouquet the prettiest actually get a glimpse into what their men are thinking.
