Something Pretty For Your Hair

Oh my, I adore this lovely little bridal headband by Little White Dresser on Etsy – it’s lovely and sweet – vintage-y and of-the-moment. Oh, and the price – the “true star” headband is only $18! Headbands and flowing hair are such a gorgeous bridal look – I’m glad the combination is so popular right now.

Short & Sweet – 50s Cocktail Dress

Another great ebay find – this 50s cocktail dress would look swell on the right bride. I’m envisioning a supper-club feel for the reception, with a fantastic pillbox hat or a sweet birdcage veil with feathered details.

ebay is loaded with fabulous wedding dresses, from high-end to cheap, awesome-retro dresses to brand new frocks. I’m going to start highlighting some of the fabulous non-traditional dresses I find. Hopefully I can help a bride or two find a fabulous dress for a fantastic price. My Wedding Hair Inspiration

I found this gallery online and just fell in love with the hairstyle that one of the brides is wearing. Their fabulous photographer (Closed Circle Photography) actually captured it at several angles, so it shouldn’t be too hard for my stylist (the amazingly fabulous Michelle J.) to replicate (of course with our own little twist).

I have a feeling it’ll look amazing with my modified-birdcage from Myra Kim!

Delicious Vintage-Style Wedding Dresses

If I were aiming for a retro-styled wedding, I know exactly where I’d look for my dress.

I love Santephie James, not just because she does custom work, not just because she gives women the opportunity to love their body (she has a large range of sizes), but because these dresses are vintage-inspired dream.

I almost wish I was planning a sock-hop inspired wedding, or something with a retro feel, because I would simply HAVE to order.

Aside from that, look at this gorgeous cut-out back and (swoon!) this fantastic ostrich shrug. Love it!
